The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there more info is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance point developed for intervention activities a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
